Dirty Dancing
That is the lobby of the Mountain Lake Resort and Hotel, where almost all of Dirty Dancing was filmed. There’s also a shrine to Patrick Swayze. It’s the resort’s only legacy.
In the ’80s, Mountain Lake was popular. My father remarried there. It was one of the world’s highest natural lakes, a sparkling mirror on top of the Appalachians.
